Following from the successful launch of the IC-3Rs platform in 2017, we are pleased to announce a second symposium day focusing on: “Reducing the reliance on animal experiments in basic and applied research”.
Taking place on the 8th of May at the VUB’s Brussels Health Campus, Jette, this year’s IC-3Rs symposium once again presents a line-up of cutting-edge scientific talks that promote innovative and practical strategies for the active use of 3R-alternative methods. In 2018 the symposium is jointly organised with the European Union’s Reference Laboratory for alternatives to animal testing (JRC, EURL ECVAM), represented by Prof. Dr. Maurice Whelan, the Francqui Chair holder of our medical faculty for 2017-2018 and head of EURL ECVAM.
In keeping, key regulatory aspects will also be covered, and Prof. Whelan will guide an interactive audience discussion session.
Attendance is free and includes a walking lunch and networking reception with exhibitions from key industrial sponsors.
